Things to do - Classic car adventures
You will already have gathered we are enthusiastic about classic cars. We’ve toured extensively through most of northern and western France including the Loire Valley and down the Atlantic coast to Bordeaux. Off the auto routes, France is a classic car driver’s dream where long and winding roads will take you through beautiful countryside where congestion simply isn’t a word you’ll need to use.
Le Clos de la Rose is an excellent base from which to explore the surrounding region and there are many excellent destinations. We have prepared numerous itineraries to help you tour the area. We can recommend several local scenic routes with classic motoring in mind, which we have researched to help you to explore the area to the full. These will include interesting places to visit and restaurants where you can stop to enjoy local specialties. Our workshop facilities will also prove invaluable should you need to make any running repairs to your classic car during your stay.
A favourite outing of ours is to the aircraft museum near Angers (35 minutes’ drive away), where our good friend, pilot and fellow classic car owner is happy to meet car and aircraft enthusiasts to give a deeper insight into the collection and the museum’s restoration and flying activities.
Bill has enjoyed many exciting trips to Le Mans for the world famous 24 hour race and this historic circuit and world class museum is an enjoyable 90 minute drive away and makes an excellent day’s outing.
