Accommodation & Bookings - Terms and Conditions

  • We will usually hold a provisional booking for a maximum of five days, during which time we must receive from you confirmation in writing of the preferred accommodation and dates using the form provided and your 25% deposit payment.
  • To confirm a reservation a 25% non-refundable deposit is required, the remaining balance is payable along with the retainer (see below) 8 weeks prior to arrival.
  • Failure to pay on time may result in your accommodation being re let.
  • Any cancellation must be in writing, but we regret that we are unable to refund any monies paid in the event of a guest cancelling a reservation.
  • We prefer payment by bank transfer, but payment by French cheque is also acceptable. If you wish to pay in pounds sterling, please let us know and we will confirm exchange rate with you in advance.
  • In the unlikely event of two or more deposits (or full sums) being received for the same gite/letting period we will notify the unsuccessful applicant(s) and return in full any amounts paid by them as soon as possible.
  • As a precautionary measure against any damage and/or breakages to the gîte/items in the gîte, a retainer of 150€ per gîte is required when you pay your balance.
  • The retainer is refundable within one week (following the return of the gîtes keys on the morning of departure and inspection of the gîtes and all its contents).
  • Please let us know as soon as possible if there are any breakages or any damage however small so that we are aware of it and can replace things in time for the next guests.
  • Your gîte and its equipment have been prepared to a high standard of cleanliness and presentation, should they not be left to an equivalent standard at departure, we regret to inform you a cleaning charge of 50€ will be deducted from the retainer fee.
  • Please report to us any defects in the property or appliances in the properties or garden without delay during your stay. Arrangements for repair and or replacements will be made as soon as possible.
  • If there are any other things that you are unhappy with during your stay, please let us know at the time so that we can do our best to rectify them if we can.
  • Payment for any Starter Food and Drink Packs should be made when the final payment for the holiday is made 8 weeks prior to arrival.
  • Prices include cost of gas, water and electricity.
  • Use of the swimming pool is for the exclusive use of our guests and is used at your own risk - please ensure that children are supervised at all times.
  • Arrival at the gites is from 16h00 onwards.
  • Departure from the gites is by 10h00.
  • A change of bedding, bathroom and household linen is included after the first week for a 2 week booking.
  • We regret no pets are allowed.
  • Smoking is not permitted in the gîtes, public buildings or the grounds.
  • No candles are allowed to be used inside the gîtes.
  • Taxe de Sejour is a daily rate payable to the French Government and is included in the charges quoted.
  • We recommend that guests arrange to have European Health Cover in place prior to their stay and also have comprehensive travel insurance.
  • Failure to adhere to our terms and conditions means that the guest will be deemed to be in breach of contract and the stay will be terminated. If a stay is terminated due to breach of contract no refunds will be given.
